Bio

Mrs. Eddins is the Family and Consumer Science teacher at Samson High School where she has been teaching for 22 years. Since she has been working at Samson High, the Family and Consumer Science Department has  become Business and Industry certified through the State office of Career/Technical Education.  She received her Bachelor of Science Degree from Auburn University in the area of Family and Consumer Science. Afterwards, she received her certification in Elementary education from Troy University.  She is a member of the Geneva County Teachers Association, Alabama Education Association, National Education Association, and Alabama Association of Career/ Technical Educators. Mrs.Eddins also received the Samson High School Teacher of the year award for 2005-2006, and 2017-18.  Mrs. Eddins was selected as the Geneva County Teacher of the year for 2017-18.  She was also nominated by former students for Who's Who among teachers for three consecutive years. Only five percent of our nation's teachers are listed in this most prestigious publication and of this five percent only two percent receive multiple nominations.  Mrs. Eddins has also had National FCCLA Gold Star Event Winners for the past 4 years in Orlando, FL; San Antonio, TX; Washington, DC.; and in San Diego, CA.
